Emily holds a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Daoist Traditions, and is certified by both the NCCAOM and the NCALB. Her training has included extensive studies in herbal medicine and dietary therapy. Prior to studying Chinese Medicine, Emily graduated from New College of Florida with an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies and an emphasis on botany. She was also a student at Tom Brown’s Tracker School.
Her herbal studies began in Hawaii when she happened into a class taught by an indigenous healer. She has a strong background in massage and body work and includes some form of body work as part of every acupuncture session. She practices acupuncture as a general practitioner. Her specialties include liver and gallbladder issues, psychoemotional issues, helping with life transitions, trigger finger, plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel, and pain. She is a perfumer who uses natural materials to create perfumes that are both for pleasure and for healing, and offers private sessions in which she designs custom fragrances. Emily has a twelve year old son and enjoys sailing, cooking, reading and gardening in her spare time. |
