Liza is a graduate from Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts with a Masters degree in Chinese Medicine and is certified by the National Certification Commission For Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. She completed her undergraduate degree at Appalachian State University in Social Work where she discovered her love for helping others.
Through her own health journey, she found acupuncture and herbal medicine and the multitudes of benefits it provides. Liza is dedicated to holding space for each person she encounters with compassion, respect, and knowledge of the medicine. She is excited to help you achieve your health and wellness goals through helping the body tap into its own innate healing ability. She enjoys working with chronic pain, anxiety, depression, PTSD, addiction, digestion issues, insomnia, and autoimmune disorders. Liza believes that disease is the body’s way of expressing of underlying imbalances. In addition to acupuncture, she uses modalities such as herbs, cupping, gua sha, and lifestyle modification when providing her patients care. She values the importance of empowering her patients through their wellness journey. When Liza is not at Alchemy, she is often found outside with her two dogs hiking, running, mountain biking, practicing yoga, paddle boarding, or exploring other forms of movement and breath work that help to connect the mind, body, and spirit. |
