Whitney graduated from Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts with a Master's and Doctorate degree in acupuncture and Chinese medicine. She obtained a B.S. in psychology from University of Georgia. After studying psychology, she became more interested in the mind-body connection and how various psychological states manifest physically. This directed her to complete 1000 hours of training in therapeutic neuromuscular bodywork at the Academy of Somatic Healing Arts of Atlanta in 2006. A desire to be able to do even more for her clients led her to begin studying acupuncture and herbal medicine in 2015.
Whitney loves the beauty, simplicity, and complexity in which Chinese medicine views the body and various imbalances. Her particular interests include women's health and fertility, sleep, autoimmune disorders, addiction, and psycho-emotional conditions. She views the application of Chinese medicine as a lifestyle and will often use dietary and movement therapies to accompany her treatments.
Outside of the office, Whitney enjoys movement through yoga, pilates, qi gong, running, and hiking. She finds creative joys in cooking and fiber arts projects.
