Cupping/ Moxibustion/ Gua Sha

Cupping, moxibustion, and gua sha are traditional Chinese medicine therapies often used alongside acupuncture to promote healing and balance in the body.

Cupping involves placing cups on the skin and creating suction to stimulate blood flow. This therapy is believed to help alleviate pain, reduce inflammation, and promote relaxation. The cups can leave temporary circular marks on the skin, which typically fade within a few days.

Moxibustion involves burning dried mugwort (moxa) near specific acupuncture points or on acupuncture needles. The heat generated is thought to stimulate circulation, improve energy flow, and enhance the body's healing abilities. Moxibustion is commonly used for conditions related to cold or stagnant energy, such as arthritis and digestive issues.

Gua sha involves scraping the skin with a smooth-edged tool to stimulate blood flow and promote the removal of toxins. This technique is believed to release tension, reduce inflammation, and support the body's natural healing processes. Gua sha is often used to address muscle pain and tension.
