Dr. SarahJean Tubbs, DACM L.Ac

Dr. SarahJean Tubbs is a nationally certified acupuncturist and clinical herbalist located in Western North Carolina.  Specializing in chronic illness, autoimmune disorders, recovery and mental health, and pain management  their treatments may include gua sha, cupping, Moxa, trigger point needling (aka dry needling), tui na, nutrition, stone medicine, herbal medicine, and meditation.  Medicine of place is important to SarahJean and she likes to encourage patients to connect with the medicine and nutrition growing around them.

     SarahJean grew up surrounded by medicinal plants in the north east, and began her formal studies of Holistic Health and Herbal medicine in the 90s.  She graduated from Evergreen State College with a focus in Botanical Medicine and Holistic Health Science.  SarahJean earned her Masters degree and then Doctorate in Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine from Daoist Traditions College, in Asheville, NC.  In May 2022, she will have completed her Doctoral Degree in East Asian Medicine with a focus in complementary oncology care and mental health wellness.

When not in the office SarahJean enjoys dancing, gardening, listening to records, connecting with the seasons through long meanders, and sitting on the porch, drinking tea, listening to birds.
