She has been practicing massage therapy for 20+ years and still does on an almost daily basis. Her background is in the study of Anthropology and she is fluent in Spanish. She has studied with a Mayan Indian medicine man in the state of Chiapas in Southern Mexico and considers this influence fundamental. She often incorporates tui na (Chinese medical massage), moxibustion, and herbal medicine into her treatments.
